Spirit Splash
Spirit Splash is UCF's largest campus tradition with over 12,000 attendees annually. This event is a pep rally, during which students and alumni charge into the Reflecting Pond and try to catch a coveted rubber duck. The design theme for homecoming this year was retro-futurism, featuring mid-century design illustrations. The duck illustration in this graphic had been used for a few years by OSI and Homecoming, so I carried that on into 2021.
Ticket Distribution
Homecoming hosts a Concert Knight and Comedy Knight alongside several other events during Homecoming week. These events require students to pick up tickets ahead of time. The abbreviations for the locations listed on the graphics are commonly known among UCF students, so there was no need to write out the location names. The Homecoming style guide influenced many of the design decisions in this set of graphics.
Volunteer Coordinator Info Sessions
Each year, Homecoming takes on about 50 volunteers and 10 volunteer coordinators to manage the week of large-scale events. This week includes events such as a concert, a comedy show, Fireworks Festival, Spirit Splash, Royalty Crowning, and a movie night. The client insisted on including a lot of information on this graphic, so my main goal was to present this information in a concise format while following the homecoming style guide.
